On June 27, 2023, Governor JB Pritzker signed Public Act 103-0103 into law, with the goal of transitioning Illinois to a State-based Marketplace. Get Covered Illinois aims to increase access, streamline enrollment, prioritize affordability, and present more health coverage options for Illinois families and individuals. In preparation for the Open Enrollment Period beginning November 1, 2025 for the 2026 plan year, Get Covered Illinois has released the first annual training curriculum for Agents/Brokers, Navigators, and Certified Application Counselors (CACs).   • Agent/Broker

    To sell to Illinois consumers as an Agent/Broker on the Get Covered Illinois Marketplace for 2026, individuals will be required to complete the Plan Year (PY) 2026 Get Covered Illinois certification training and final assessment. CE Credits are available for this training. Certification through Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) or through another State-based Marketplace does not fulfill this requirement.

  • Certified Application Counselor

    To assist Illinois consumers as a Certified Application Counselor on the Get Covered Illinois Marketplace for 2026, individuals will be required to complete the Plan Year (PY) 2026 Get Covered Illinois certification training and final assessment. Only individuals connected with one of the approved Illinois Certified Counselor Designated Organizations (CDOs) are eligible to complete CAC training.

  • Navigator

    To assist Illinois consumers as a Navigator on the Get Covered Illinois Marketplace for 2026, individuals will be required to complete the Plan Year (PY) 2026 Get Covered Illinois certification training and final assessment. Only individuals connected with one of the Get Covered Illinois Navigator Grantees or sub-granted organizations are eligible to complete Navigator training.

  • How many attempts do I have to complete the Final Exam?

    You have an unlimited number of attempts to complete the Final Exam.

  • How do I get my certificate?

    Certificates will be available once Unit 7 is released. You must complete Unit 7 in order to access your certificate.

  • When will Unit 7 be ready?

    Unit 7 will be ready soon! Don't worry about missing out; all users will be sent an email as soon as Unit 7 is available.
